Not for the faint of heart
Sailing, snorkeling diving, golf, tennis and ...

More people may know the Caribbean for its rum and rhythm. But the sporting life is alive and thriving. Locals and visitors share camaraderie and competition in sailing regattas, fishing spectacles, triathlons, golf and tennis tournaments, soccer, and cricket. Then of course there's diving, snorkeling..Nearly every island has opportunities for sports enthusiasts. But of course some are better than others.
Here are my voice choices – best picks for sailing, diving, snorkeling, golf and tennis lovers.
Sailing: Virgin Islands and The Grenadines you won’t find smoother sailing anywhere!
Snorkeling: St. John – You don’t need to swim far, to begin communing with the fish. But go where the locals go. Forget Trunk Bay and head to Hawks Nest or Haulover.
Diving: Bonaire the place with no pollution and plenty of fringe reefs Of course there’s also shipwrecks in the BVI, and some wonderful underwater experiences in Grand Caymans, Turks and Caicos and St. Croix in the Virgin Islands
Golf: It depends if you live on an island and can enjoy year round member ship or if you’re just passing through. Some resort courts are locals friendly, a and some are guests only. My golfing friends love staying and driving at Tryall In Jamaica, and Four Seasons in Nevis. But there are also some nice municipal courses on many islands.
Tennis: The Caribbean serves up some great tennis. We like charging the net at Curtain Bluffs in Antigua, Casa Del Campo in Dominican Republic and Buccaneer in St. Croix.
