Visitors to Old San Juan, Puerto Rico will find in the Museum of La Casa del Libro a place full of treasures.

La Casa del Libro is dedicated to the arts of the book, specifically the printed page, typography and design.

On display is a page from the Guttenberg Bible and many fifteenth and sixteenth century beautiful books created by hand. The museum also has prints of such internationally renowned artists as Goya, Picasso and Rembrandt.

It is a destination of great interest to tourists, students, scholars and researchers.

The government of Puerto Rico allocates less than one percent of the general budget for cultural projects. So it is not a surprise that museums seek support of a concerned citizens to preserve their collections and continue its services.
