Caribbean Community Theater in St. Croix celebrated its silver anniversary season in 2010, while St. Thomas’s Pistarckle Theater is marking its 21st season. Both theaters recently raised the curtain for 2011-2012 moving toward a combined tally of 50 years of community theater in the Virgin Islands.

Both theaters set forth an ambition production schedule, enjoy a broad based spectrum of sponsors, and active participation from the community.

And both organizations appear to be blessed with women at the helm for whom failure is just not an option.

Eileen Des Jardins the managing producer of Caribbean Community Theater and Nicola Emerich producing director of Pistarckle (Niki) have nurtured their fledgling theaters into a cultural tour de force in two distinctly different island communities.
