Imagine traveling around the Globe, amassing a booty of English pottery, Venetian glass and lace, Florentine leather or Irish linen.

But what about shopping in the Caribbean?

Unfortunately some people think its most well known export is a tan or sunburn.

These folks miss a treasure trove of delightful gifts.

Island made art, crafts, music, food, fashion and jewelery are yours for the taking.

Sure, there are plenty of "souvenir" shops selling stuff manufactured far from the region. Shun these.

Locally produced merchandise is a much better buy.

Why not insist on island made, and encourage island entrpreneurs to create and market products, which are “ pure Caribbean”?

Jewelry alone is a mega million dollar industry within the region. But most of it is from stateside designers. You can often find the same lines at other ports of call such as Alaska and Laguna Beach!

It starts with you.

Don’t settle for less than investing in authentic island made jewelry art, foods and handicrafts you won't find anywhere else.
